I have alternated all purpose flour with wheat flour to make this recipe a healthy bake. As mentioned in the title, I have gone eggless for this mawa cake. - 2 tsp Unsalted Butter
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Milk Powder
- 112 g (1/2 cup) Unsalted Butter
- 135 g (1/2 + 1/4 cup) Castor Sugar
- 180 g (1 + 1/2 cup) Wheat Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- Pinch of Salt
- 1/4 cup Thick Curd
- 3/4 cup Milk
- 1/3 cup Instant Mawa
- 1/2 tsp Ossoro's Kesar Malai Flavor
- 2 drops Ossoro's Cardamom Flavor
- 2 tbsp Chopped/Slivered Almonds
In a heavy bottom pan, heat Butter and Milk. Mix well.
Add in Milk powder, mix well without any lumps.
Cook for a while to make a thick mawa.
Let it cool completely and make it crumbs.
Preheat the oven to 180 C for 10 minutes. Prepare a loaf pan by applying butter and parchment paper.
Whisk Wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
Using an electric beater, beat butter and sugar till creamy.
Add in curd and mawa. Mix well.
Add dry ingredients and fold in.
Add Milk and mix well.
Pour in prepared pan and top with Almonds.
Bake at 180 C for 30-35 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serve warm as snack.
