Healthy Skillet Cherry Chocolate Cake
Growing up, cherries were my favorite. Me and all of my cousins used to gather in our grandma’s house during summer vacation. One of my aunts was insanely talented in baking. Our family members say that my love towards baking reminds them of me. She used to experiment with various baking recipes during summer vacation and used to feed us a lot of cakes and desserts. And, you know what? There used to be a limited number of cherries on cake and we cousins used to take turns in having them each time she bakes. These days healthy bakes have become my go to choice. Having cheat days is absolutely fine. But with the lifestyle that we are following now, it is better to lean towards healthy bakes. Skillet Cherry Chocolate Bake
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Rice Flour
- 1/2 cup Jowar Flour
- 1/4 cup Almond meal
- 3/4 tsp Baking Powder
- pinch Salt
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 3/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/3 cup Choco chunks
- 1/3 cup Cherry
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 C for 10 min. Prepare a skillet by applying butter.
- Whisk butter and sugar till creamy.
- Add in egg and vanilla.
- Add the flours, baking powder and salt. Whisk well.
- Mix in mix till you get batter consistency.
- Pour it in skillet and top it with cherry and chocolate.
- Bake till 20-25 min until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Serve with Ice cream!
