Spinach Banana Smoothie, the word “spinach” when the kids hear, they will regret. Here Banana and coconut milk takes over the bitterness of spinach. This is a variation of carrot smoothie, that I talked about previously.
Spinach is a widely used green leafy vegetable, that’s rich in vitamins. Eating any green leafy vegetable daily keeps you refreshing and healthy. Greens and sweet often doesn’t go hand in hand always, but this seems to be good being raw.
Here, using a thick coconut milk gives you a rich flavor. Frozen banana, the key to hide the bitterness of raw spinach. Freezing the banana when it is half ripen and when the skin is still yellow, is the perfect stage to make these smoothies.
Chocolate and pistachio goes well with this yummy spinach smoothie. Serving it chill with your favorite toppings is the best way.
Spinach Banana Smoothie
- 3 medium Frozen Banana
- 10 Baby Spinach Leaves
- 1/4 c Rich Coconut Milk
- 2 tbsp Honey/Maple syrup
- In a mixer grinder, Grind the spinach leaves.
- Add chopped frozen banana and grind.
- Add coconut milk and honey / maple syrup.
- Serve it with pistachio, pomegranate, apple slices and chocolate.
