Easy Sweet Puff
Even though there are multiple festivals throughout the year, there is one festival that every family celebrates with a bang. And, for our family that festival was always Diwali. We used to go shopping like crazy, buy new clothes, buy new household items, buy new electrical items, buy festive decor and what not. When we are done shopping, we would be extremely tired. So, to cheer us up, my father would buy us all our favorite puffs, Sometimes it would be egg puff, sometimes veg puff, sometimes paneer puff and the list goes on. This particular day felt extra special and throughout the year we look forward to this puff eating day. My love for puffs started there and can’t believe I am making delicious recipes out of puff.
There is a wrong notion that puffs are savories. So, I decided to break the stereotype and prepared this sweet puff. Not just a snack to munch once in a while, you can make this special recipe for even festivals, when you are expecting guests, for parties and all kinds of events. Isn’t that great?

Easy Sweet Puff
Ingredients
- 6 inch square Puff sheet
- 2 tbsp Ghee for brushing
Filling:
- 1/2 cup Paneer
- 1 tbsp Orange zest
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Cream
Sugar Syrup:
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1 1/2 tsp Rose petals
- Pistachio to serve
Instructions
- Boil all the sugar syrup ingredients till syrup consistency.
- To make the filling add crushed paneer, cream, sugar in a pan. Let it cook until it gets thick. Add orange peel and mix well. Store it until use.
- Brush the puff sheets with ghee. Fold the edges slightly to hold the filling.
- Add the filling.
- Bake in preheated oven at 180 C for 15 min or until edge is golden brown.
- Serve with sugar syrup and pistachio.
