For Bread:
260g (2 cup)All purpose flour / Maida
1/2tspSalt
100gUnsalted Buttercubed
1/2cupWarm Milk
2 1/4tspInstant Dry Yeast
1/4cup + a pinchSugar
1Egg
1Egg Yolk
1/2tspOssoro's Turkish Baklava Flavor
For Filling:
2tbspChopped Pistachiooptional
2tbspButter
1cupUnsalted Pistachio
For Brushing:
1Beaten Egg
For Sugar syrup:
3tbspSugar
1/3cupWater
1dropOssoro's Pista Classic Flavor
Instructions
To make the filling:
Grind 1 cup pistachio in a blender till fine powder.
Add 2 tbsp butter and bend it to pistachio butter. Make ahead and store in fridge.
To make Bread:
In a bowl, add Warm milk, a pinch sugar and yeast.
Mix and let it sit for 5 minutes till its frothy. If its not frothy, either yeast is dead or milk is not warm enough or too hot. So start with fresh yeast.
In another bowl, whisk egg, egg yolk, sugar and yeast mix.
